usually i show the client the finished pencils before i ink, but i reallly enjoyed doing this one, and got carried away. hopefully he likes it. cause if he doesn't, i'd love to keep it :D.

I had a lot of fun doing these last two commissions. got to draw what i enjoy the most, pinup girls. this one in particular was a blast. client had a great idea Bettie as Dave Stevens "Rocketeer" what could be more fun.

ok i need some sleep., i'm not even sure what i just wrote. enjoy the rest of your weekend :)

"But wouldn't the short skirt and nylon be a burn safety hazard?"
"Safety? This is the Thirties! Safety's for chumps!"

Great art!

Actually, back then it probably would've been silk. Nylon was introduced as a substitute, seeing as silk was needed for parachutes.

This turned out great! =) I love the mix of 50's pinup and 50's tech here.

(I'm sure someone mentioned that in the original Rocketeer comics, the Rocketeer's girlfriend was to have been Bettie Page, or at least a lookalike of her named 'Bettie.' It's a crying shame they didn't do that for the movie.)

I'm a big fan of modern pin-ups and make them myself. This was very nicely done!
